About Me
Hi my name is Beth Patterson and I LOVE food! My husband started this blog for me to because I’m always talking about all things food related, so I guess he figured this blog would save him from my incessant culinary blabbering. I am by no means an expert on all things edible. I am just a small town, southern girl that is on a lifelong journey of epicurean discovery. I started cooking when I was in middle school. Spaghetti was the first meal I ever successfully tackled. That could have had something to do with the ease of preparing this dish. You know, step 1 brown meat, step 2 boil water, step 3 open jar!
I’m proud to say that I have expanded my cooking repertoire beyond simply opening a can of spaghetti sauce! I’m not a super healthy food nut. I try to have a balance between eating healthy and eating the rich foods I love. My biggest belief is that you should cook with good quality, fresh foods that aren’t filled with loads of preservatives.
I believe that food is a universal language that all people speak. And I totally believe that old saying “Nothing says lovin’ like a big pot of _________.” Fill in the blank with your favorite comfort food. For me, it’s my grandma’s chicken and dumplin’s or anything my mom cooks. So I hope as you read and enjoy this blog, that you find inspiration and maybe a few laughs in the words written here for you.
Bon appetit!
