Today was the first day where I felt normal–good even. Though my day dreams about real food are getting stronger. I’m going to have to be diligent in making sure that I don’t lose my head when I can eat normal food again. I’m not doing all this just to say I did it! I figure this is my kickoff into a healthier lifestyle. And I’m already seeing results, I’ve already shed about 5 pounds, which I’m sure is mostly water. Hey I’ll still take it.
I’ve also noticed that by eating smaller portions (not necessarily loving everything I’m eating is helping here!), I start feeling full sooner. One of my biggest bad habits I’d gotten into was eating too much. You know eating more, even though I’m full, just because it tastes so darn good. So I’m hoping that the habit of eating less and stopping when I’m full will continue even after the detox is over.
I’m proud of myself too, because I went to the gym for the first time in several months. I just did the elliptical machine for 35 minutes, but I’m still happy with that. Overall I’d say I’m about at a 7 today. My biggest complaint now is the lack of sleep. I’m not sure why, but I’ve not been sleeping well at night. I’m having a hard time falling asleep, and then I have strange dreams that keep me from feeling rested. Other than that, and the stupid quad cramp, life is good. 4 days down, 10 to go! (Oh that’s depressing!)

Hi Beth,
thanks for popping over to my blog and checking it out. Good for you guys on the detox, it reinforces me to see others doing it as well! We are all in this together!
Good luck with it. I’m going to check out some of your recipes too.
