I recently discovered I was lactose intolerant after eating a delicious bowl of Spumoni Ice cream. This discovery really sucked because there’s nothing I like better than a nice big bowl of ice cream after a rough day. But a few weeks ago I was given an offer I couldn’t refuse.

A representative from an ice cream company I had never heard of, called Pierre’s Ice Cream, contacted me about sampling and reviewing their new product–Hola Fruta! Free stuff?! I was intrigued. So every now and then I like to do those stupid myspace surveys to pass the time. I’m always trying to come up with funny/witty answers, but I don’t think I manage to be as funny as I would like! So recently I made my delicious cowboy cookies, and they were looking great until I pulled them out. Instead of my beautiful, thick oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, I found flat, crunchy disks of oatmeal and chocolate chips. I couldn’t figure out what happened, so I did a little research. On our way home from Phoenix we decided to go on Route 66 for a bit. So of course we had to try some of the local restaurants. So in Winslow, AZ we turned off to hunt for a local eatery. We found Falcon Family Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the various Mexican and American offerings.

The Hot Dog Shoppe in Crestview, FL has recently opened in the Winn Dixie Strip Mall on the north side of town. I have actually been looking forward tho their opening for quite some time now. I love hot dogs! Read the rest of this entry »

So I’m always trying to find reviews before I go to a new restaurant. I don’t know about you but I hate wasting my time and money going to a lousy restaurant. So I’m not much of a griller, but last night I decided to do a whole grilling out kind of thing. I had steaks, chicken breasts and even portobella caps for my daughter who’s not a big meat eater. I was even going to grill veggies to go with the meat, corn and asparagus. It was going to be delicious. But isn’t it funny how life doesn’t always cooperate with the plans we make in our heads?! My husband and I dropped our boat off at ABC Marine Advanced Boating Center yesterday in Niceville, FL and decided to take the family out for a late lunch at 3:30pm. We were going to check out the Front Porch on Bayshore drive but they weren’t open at 3:30pm. We decided to keep on driving down Bayshore and discovered that Giuseppi’s Wharf Restaurant was open.
